Dr. Kemba Chambers
Dr. Chambers is actively engaged and serves in several professional and community organizations, including Vice Chair of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Board of Trustees and Executive Council. She has 28 years of secondary and higher education experience and currently serves as the first female President at H. Councill Trenholm State Community College in Montgomery, Alabama. She previously served as the Interim Associate Vice Chancellor of Teaching and Learning /Chief Instructional Officer for the Alabama Community College System, and Executive Vice President/Vice President of Instructional Services at H. Councill Trenholm State Community College. Dr. Chambers has formerly served in various leadership roles within the Alabama Community College System, including Interim President at H. Councill Trenholm State Community College, Coastal Alabama Community College, and J. F. Drake State Community College. Additionally, she also served in administrative and instructional roles at Calhoun Community College and Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Prior to entering higher education, Dr. Chambers served as a High School Mathematics Teacher within the Phenix City Public School System.
Professor Belle S. Wheelan
Dr. Wheelan currently serves as President of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and is the first African American and the first woman to serve in this capacity. Her career spans over 40 years and includes the roles of faculty member, chief student services officer, campus provost, college president and Secretary of Education. In several of those roles, she was the first African American and/or woman to serve in those capacities. She has received numerous awards and recognition including six honorary degrees. Dr. Wheelan received her Bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in Texas (1972) with a double major in Psychology and Sociology; her Master’s from Louisiana State University (1974) in Developmental Educational Psychology; and her Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin (1984) in Educational Administration with a special concentration in community college leadership.
Dr. Kimberely Hall
Dr. Kimberely Hall is the Vice Chancellor of Institutional Advancement and Effectiveness at South College where she has served for over 28 years. She has earned three postsecondary degrees, the most advanced being the Doctor of Education Degree with a concentration in Educational Administration and Policy Studies and a specialty in Higher Education from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Including her current position, Dr. Hall has worked in private education almost 37 years, serving in various positions including campus president, faculty member, Academic Dean, Executive Vice President, and Provost. She is published author, a graduate of the Leadership Knoxville Class of 2012 and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges regional accrediting agency as a representative for the State of Tennessee. Dr. Hall is in her 11th year serving on the SACSCOC Board of Trustees and 3rd year serving on the Executive Council. She continues to also chair accreditation committee visits each year.
Dr. Rebecca Maloney
Dr. Rebecca Maloney currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Her career spans over 30 years and includes the roles of faculty member, Director of Archdiocesan Teachers’ Institute, Department Chair, Director of Institutional Effectiveness, and Academic Dean. Dr. Rebecca holds different positions and affiliations, including SACSCOC Peer Review Advisory Board, December 2023 -, Board of Trustees Chair, January 2022 – December 2023, Board of Trustees Vice-Chair, June 2021 – December 2021, Executive Council Member, January 2020 – December 2023, Board of Trustees Member, June 2018 – December, 2023, Evaluation Committee Member, 2012-present. Dr. Maloney received her Bachelor’s degree from University of New Orleans (1992) with a major in Science Education; her Master’s from University of New Orleans (2000) in Curriculum and Instruction; and her Doctorate from the University of New Orleans (2002) in Curriculum and Instruction.
